A bit about me
I’ve always loved working with people, and find that working with those experiencing pain to manage their condition and get back to meaningful movement is particularly rewarding.
I originally qualified in massage in 1996 after working as a ski/snowboard instructor and in tourism and hospitality. Being a keen runner and cyclist, I continued with my Level 3 and 4 sports massage qualifications at The University of Bath in 2017 and Level 5 in Soft Tissue Therapy (formally known as Clinical Sports and Remedial Massage Therapy) in 2022 with The ST School where I am now an assistant tutor.
I am currently half way through a 4 year training course to be a Feldenkrais practitioner and much of my time outside work is spent on CPD and learning! I’m constantly striving to keep up to date through industry education, podcasts, webinars and reading so that what I can offer my clients is truly evidence informed. I am also a member of the STA (Sports Therapy Association).
When I do have some spare time, I love to get out running (slowly) on the local trails, walking with my dog Murphy, and paddle boarding on the canal during the summer.
Working with you
You know your body better than anyone, so your care and your treatment will always be guided by you. I’m here to help you on your journey so that you can feel your best – whatever that looks like. That’s why one of the most important parts of my role is listening. Listening to your concerns and together, working out the support you need to get back on track.
